"Pandemics disrupt times in history, but that is when God loves to flex because no one gets the glory but Him!" -Steve Teng

Since the beginning of the pandemic, SBSK has remained focused on our mission to serve both the physical, academic, and spiritual needs of the most vulnerable kids in the St. Johns Community. We have continued to lift up the often overlooked and vulnerable families in our community and bring them a message of hope. None of this would be possible without the Heroes that lift up our ministry daily.

Last August when schools announced students would not return to campus, a collaboration began with The Austin Stone Community Church and SBSK regarding the best way to address the needs of the St. Johns Community. After much prayer, planning, and support, the SBSK Learning Center was born. Steve Teng, Local Mission Director, explains how the Learning Center is meeting the tangible needs of the children, but more importantly how it is addressing the spiritual poverty that exists in the community.
