Kahlan was born and raised in Corpus Christi and moved to Austin in 2020. She quickly fell in love with the city and the people in it. She is currently getting her degree in psychology from Angelo State University. 

Kahlan has been involved in afterschool programs since high school and is passionate about the energetic, fun atmosphere they create for both students and families. She thrives in these fast-paced environments and finds great joy in watching children develop into confident, thoughtful, and unique individuals. For Kahlan, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing the growth and transformation of each child she works with.

Outside of work, Kahlan loves reading, finding new trails to hike around Austin, and spending time with her family and friends.
